Lake McCumber in Shingletown,CA
Lake McCumber has a camp ground and you can fish on the lake in a canoe or non motorized boat(-:
Lake McCumber is so pretty and it is so quiet and peaceful there.

In the Lake McCumber area we saw this Doe with twin fawns. They stood in the woods for their first photograph(-: Aren't they sweet?(-:

I love that shot of the woods .. that is awesome : )
Beautiful area. There is still quite a bit of snow on the mountain. But, it's hot where you are, right?
I love taking a walk in the woods! Thanks for sharing your trip!
What a beautiful place! That mountain top looks so cool and refreshing!--Randy
Hi Joy,
It was so pretty there. It was a lot cooler up there too(-: Nice break from the heat here!!!!
Hi Meadowview Thymes,
It is quite a bit of a climate change up at Lassen compared to down here in the valley(-: It was so much nicer and cooler up there! It is about an hour away from where we live!
Hi Randy,
It does look nice and cool. That is what I will look at today when it is scorching hot outside this afternoon!
What a lovely place to visit and camp.
Very nice - doesn't it look "cool" there too? We have twin fawns out in our backwoods area and they have been galloping into the open once in a while - Mom nervously keeps an eye out while they hop about. PAM
What a beautiful place to go Cindee. It looks so peaceful and the mountain is beautiful too. Bet ya enjoyed that. Is this northern CA? I just wondered because Mt. Lassen sounds familiar and the only place we go in CA is northern. And then we can only go in early May because I can't take the heat there. Redding . . . hot hot hot!
Looks wonderful. I'm going to check it out on google earth. Cindee - please do check out my blog. You are credited in it.
Amazing mountain views! I love the pictures of the fawns - so adorable! -Jackie
Awesome view! Snow on the mountain in July is a real treat. Looks like a very pretty place and love the deer.
It really does look serene and calm. Wonderful you can escape to such a place within a short distance. I need to make a bigger effort to visit our mountains too instead of being a homebody!
Looks like you had a great trip! I especially love the first two photos. =)
looks like another great trip! thanks for sharing!
I remember going there when I was young. I had caught a crawdad on my homemade fishing pole and was jumping up and down screaming Lobster, Lobster! the lake wasn't so peaceful that day. Beautiful pictures, you spent your time well ~Jacque
